WHAT WE DO

01

In-Home Visitations

You will always know who is visiting your home and we will keep it the same sitter unless an emergency situation arises. Your best friends will always have clean areas / kennels, fresh water, fresh food, love, and exercise when being visited by Rockwall Critter Sitter. Drop-in visits are usually 20-30 minutes. Pets are personally socialized with at each visit and get individual attention as much as possible while we are there. If requested, a reasonable amount of pet waste will be picked up and mail collected. We will water a handful of potted plants that have been grouped together.

Click on the blue link for our availability.

Reservation only!

Visitation hours are subjective to your animal's needs. Our visitation ours are between 7Am and 9PM.

We are happy to help with medications or if your pet needs to be outside more often.

Updates are provided after every visit. We like to text pictures of your babies being played with!

There is no need to respond to daily updates.

An emergency plan will be discussed with you during the meet and greet. We provide a questionnaire so everyone feels as safe and secure as possible for you to enjoy your time away.

Do you have a runner?

Let us know and we will slap a special GPS tag on them!

We specialize in canines, felines, and fish. We have also cared for ducks, rabbits, turtles, and other small animals. We do not service farm animals.

Pet Hosting
aka Boarding

Your fur family deserves a vacation, too! We offer Pet Hosting—a premium 'Bed and Breakfast' experience that replaces the noise and stress of a kennel with the comfort of a loving home. As your hosts, we provide a safe, sanitized, and social atmosphere where your pets can roam free and rest easy.

Our hosting areas are in our home, not outside in a shelter or temporary building. At RCS, we believe that your fur family is our fur family. They should be socialized and feel safe. Your pets will be free from outside stressors like thunder and loud barking noises. We have a closed camera system at every door and in the back yard. Cameras in our pet hosting areas alert us to barking or meowing at night.

Your pets will never be outside alone or in a dirty, muddy, yard. Weather is not something we can control but we will do our best to make sure we send them home as clean as possible. We will not put them in your car with muddy paws!

Hosting details:

Areas: Your best friends will always have clean areas or kennels, water, fresh food, lot's of free roaming play time, and much love. Depending on everyone's temperament, they will have free roam of one room, an entire area, or of the entire house. Hosting areas are sanitized after every guest or immediately if there is an accident.

Drop off/ Pick up is between 1 P.M. and 5 P.M. Need more flexibility? We offer early/late services as well as transportation.

All pets must be at least 20 weeks old, potty-trained, and fully vaccinated according to our requirements. See our vaccination policy.

Socialization while boarding: If you allow socialization, we will conduct a proper temperament introduction. RCS will monitor animals throughout the process to ensure their safety and welfare. From a distance, we generally look for positive behaviors, like play or curiosity. We are wary of any stress, aggression, or fear indicators since this may cause animals to run or injure themselves. We want all animals to appear receptive to the interaction before it progresses. If an initial introduction fails, we can try again or abandon the option.

Puppy Training and
Leash Conditioning

Our Foundational Training Pillars

Behavioral & House Manners: These are the "rules of the house." Training a puppy is a marathon, not a sprint. It starts with the basics: knowing where to sleep (crate training), how to listen (basic commands), when to eat and potty, and how to walk (leash conditioning). The first two years of firm daily work from the owner and weekly training sessions provides the skills your puppy needs to navigate the human world with confidence. Let's turn those 'zoomies' into focused energy and build a better bond, one treat at a time."

Crate training is the MVP here—it provides your dog with a safe "den" and is the fastest way to master potty training.

Socialization: This isn't just about meeting other dogs it’s about making sure your puppy doesn't have a meltdown when they hear a vacuum cleaner or see a person in a hat.

Leash Conditioning: This is the difference between a relaxing stroll and being dragged down the sidewalk. Training for calm and controlled walks (or even hands-free) focuses on "loose-lead" walking where the dog chooses to stay by your side. We start with a firm lead and then move into a loose-lead. Firm leash conditioning can be done at any age beyond 12 weeks of age.

We recommend two thirty minute training visits weekly from when your puppy is 12 weeks for crate training but we can adjust depending on your ability to work with your pet during their training.

When they are 18-20 weeks they should be revaluated and training should be increased until they are about two years old.

Contact us for a thorough evaluation with a full two to three page work-up on your pet(s) and their environment.

04

Dog Walking

We will walk your babies the full length of their regular visit. A dog walk takes place of their regular visit. No feeding or cleaning will take place. We will always bring water for them, and us!

They must be leash trained. Not leash ready? No problem. We can help. Just contact us!

Do they need to be taken to the park for their walk? No problem. We will work with you!
